HEALinc Global Summit
HEALinc Global Summit
Bridging-the-Future

The HEALinc BTF Program is uniquely structured to provide a platform for the next generation of innovative problem-solvers. Every year, our coordinators select a handful of deserving top STEM high-school students (ages 14-18) from the region to participate in our science and technology-focused program embedded within the Summit.

While the program began with top-tier STEAM high school students in 2018 and 2019, it has since expanded to include undergraduate scientists, nursing and medical students at our most recent HEALinc Summit in 2023.

Bridging-the-Future Pre-Summit Workshop

This HEALinc Bridging-the-Future Educational Workshop and Discussion Panel is led by Mary Miller Sallah and supported by Dr. Calae Philippe. Expert panelists include:

  • Dr. Desirée Cox (HEALinc),

  • Dr. Ian White (Neobiosis),

  • Professor Jack Jacobs (Zhittya Genesis Medicine),

  • Dr. Darius Bain (LiveWell Clinic, Bahamas),

  • Farhana Hasan (HerWILL),  and

  • Ms. Ashley Grey (Hogan Lovells).

Talented young people all over the world are asking the same questions. How do I navigate a successful career in the new healthcare paradigm of longevity and regenerative medicine? Should I go to college? Is it necessary? What should I study in college? Should I work and study part-time to save money and minimize debt? How do I know what’s right for me? What resources are out there for people growing up in developing countries in the Caribbean and/or Latin America, or a rural, remote, or underserved community in the US, North America or elsewhere? Similar questions still arise for people already in the workforce (in healthcare or other professions) who are considering a career change, given the shifting paradigms in all areas of life. This workshop and discussion panel addresses these issues.
