Dr. Alok Sharma is a neurosurgeon, neuroscientist, and Director of NeuroGen Brain and Spine Institute and KLS Institute of AntiAging, both in Navi Mumbai, India. He was a professor and head of the Department of Neurosurgery at the LTMG Hospital and Medical College, Mumbai from 1998 to 2023.

Dr. Sharma has published over 172 scientific publications, authored 24 books, and contributed chapters to several textbooks. He has delivered over 200 scientific presentations at international, national and zonal conferences and meetings, and he has organized and arranged over 25 national and international conferences/workshops in various specialized aspects of neurosurgery. He is President of the Society of Regenerative Sciences (India) and Vice President of the International Association of Neurorestoratology.

Dr. Sharma is a pioneer of cell therapy in neurological disorders. His landmark accomplishments include the publication of the world’s first scientific paper on the role of cellular therapy in autism. He has also published the world’s first paper on cell therapy in intellectual disability. He has revolutionized the management of neurodevelopmental disorders with his innovative combination of cellular and integrative therapies.

He has been the recipient of several international and national awards, such as the Rose of Paracelsus award from the EMA, Oxford 2016, The European Award for Best Practices, Brussels 2018, The Bharat Gaurav Award, London 2019, The Newton Universal Legendary Award, Boston 2022, The Sino Phil Asia International Peace Award, Manila 2023, and The Nelson Mandela Leadership Award, Oxford, UK, 2023.

Dr. Sharma set up India’s first dedicated anti-aging institute in Navi Mumbai. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he did original research on the use of stem cells and ozone therapy in COVID-19 and has published 4 papers and 2 books on COVID-19.
